Iconic events
Our seasonal iconic events aim to celebrate Christchurch's unique identity and showcase a vibrant and highly desirable place to live and visit.
Events like the Christchurch Arts Festival and the WinterGarden, Ellerslie International Flower Show, World Buskers Festival and New Zealand Cup and Show Week are all 'iconic events' unique to Christchurch, attracting visitors both nationally and internationally.
These events are sponsored and supported by the Christchurch City Council's Events Development Teams who work together with event partners and other city stakeholders to ensure the city is in the festival mood when they are taking place.
