On end of reserve in Bridle Path Road at disused entrance to Ferrymead Historic Park.

Description
Black marble plaque, set on rock, marking the site of the Ferrymead wharf and railway station. Marks the start of the first railway in New Zealand between Ferrymead and Christchurch.
