Licences, consents and permits

Many business activities require consent from, or licensing by, the Christchurch City Council.

The sort of activities requiring such consent, licensing or permits include (but are not limited to) such things as:

  • general licensing
  • stands and stalls
  • amusement rides and devices
  • public speaking
  • street performance (including busking)
  • mobile or travelling shops
  • temporary stands and stalls
  • sale of liquor
  • erecting of signs and signage.
