Health and safety

The Council provides information about food safety for starting a business and food hygiene; environmental health and safety (pools, pests, hairdressing and tattooing); and permit/licensing requirements for shops, stalls, and street performances.

If you are starting a new business or buying into an existing business there may be applications and license issues you will need to contact us about. Food premises, hairdressers, camping grounds, funeral directors all need to be registered with us.
