Construction and development

Our purpose is to inform businesses and individuals of the technical and construction requirements for assets which are to be vested in the Christchurch City Council and to approve those compliant assets.

Land developments and infrastructure must be designed, approved and built to Council standards, national codes and regulations (such as building, plumbing and drainlaying) using appropriate materials.

The Council provides access to a list of approved contractors and materials for the construction of land and asset developments undertaken within the Christchurch City Council area.
