Work Allocation

Animal Control receives a large number of enquiries every day. To effectively manage all of these they are gathered by the Animal Control Operations Staff and assessed. All relevant history is attached to each enquiry and they are assigned to an Officer. Before delegating work to any Officer an overall picture of the workload citywide must be gained to ensure that all complaints are dealt with as quickly as possible.

All Officers return to the office daily with their previous day's work. The Operations Administration staff assess this and reallocate anything requiring further action. New work is then added.

It is the responsibility of the Operations Administration staff to ensure that all work is actioned by the Officers within a reasonable period of time and that nothing is left for too long without being seen again by the Officers.
