Being Waterwise means you know how to save water and make sure we always have plenty to drink, wash and water the garden. You can find out more about our precious water resources and why we should save our water on this website. There are also plenty of tips on how to save water everyday.

Why do we need to be Waterwise?

Every day we need water to drink, brush our teeth, wash the dishes, flush the toilet, water the garden…the list just keeps going! But did you know that if we don’t look after our supplies of fresh, clean water, one day we could run out?

What you do can make a difference! And be in to win some fantastic prizes.

Most of us have no idea how much water we use or where it goes after we turn on the tap. Did you know that the average person uses 333 litres of water per day.

A great place to start is to find out more about water and how we use it.
