Organic collection
Your greenwaste can be collected from the kerbside and composted
by a commercial waste collector, if it is kept separate from your
general household or business waste. Some commercial waste collectors
provide greenwaste only collection services that are around 40%
cheaper than a mixed waste collection service. Check out the Yellow
Pages under Garden Rubbish Bin Hire and ask for a greenwaste
only (that does not go to landfill) collection service.

If your business provides a greenwaste only collection
service and is not on this list please contact the Council
to be included
Many landscaping services also take the greenwaste away
from your property for composting or mulching, so check that
the service you use recycles your garden waste.
The Council do not currently provide a collection service
for organics, but greenwaste can be dropped off at any of
the refuse
stations for composting. However, the Council have recently
performed a kitchen
organics collection trial in 2002.
