Regional parks

Spencer Park, Brooklands Lagoon and Seafield Park

Map and facilities:

• NZST gates are open between 8.00 am and 7.00pm.
• NZDT gates are open between 8.00 am and 9.00pm.
  • Gate closures are administered by ADT security. When a vehicle is locked in they will charge a call out fee of $35.00 to release the vehicle.
• Animal Park open: 9.00 am- 4.30 pm.
• Safe swimming between the flags at the Surf Life Saving Club in the summer season.
• Beach gates: closed at all times. For access for fishing, or whitebaiting a permit can be obtained from Spencer Park Rangers. Phone 941 7560.
• For organised groups, picnic bookings can be made for Spencer Park. Contact Parks and Waterways for further information or phone 941 8383.

 
If driving a vehicle on the beach, please keep to the hard sand. Motorbikes, dune buggies and 4WD vehicles in the dunes damage plants, destroy wildlife and disturb nesting and roosting birds.
