Jollies Bush Scenic Reserve

Jollies Bush Scenic Reserve.

When you have taken in the magnificent views, treat yourself to an easy 20-minute loop walk along the Jollies Bush Track, providing excellent access through the bush. Explore at your leisure and enjoy its variety of plant and wildlife. Summit Road Society work parties have enhanced the original small bush remnants with plantings. Species planted include beech, totara and broad-leafed shrubs.

There is a stone shelter near the road, to provide cover if the weather lets you down.

Jollies Bush takes its name from Edward Jollie who first surveyed Sumner and lived for a period in a cottage by the reserve.
