Works update
Work still to be completed includes red colouring on the cycle lanes and painting of the central medians.
This work needs ground temperature to be around 10 degrees for the surfacing to be durable and is expected to be carried out within the next three weeks and will be carried out in the evening.
The other major items outstanding is the planting of the nine pohutakawa trees in the central median and the installation of an Advance Directional Sign.
This work will not be carried out during peak traffic hours and may require traffic to be restricted to a single lane for up to one hour.

Work is now largely complete on the Ferry Rd/Humphreys Drive intersection to improve the safety, capacity and travel times, and to improve facilities for pedestrians and cyclists.
The intersection has in the past been subject to sporadic delays and queuing for westbound traffic.
Traffic volumes on Ferry Road have been rising by an average of 3.3% per year and queuing and delay problems are forecast to worsen considerably given anticipated traffic growth in the area.
