Clean Up New Zealand Week 2007

Keep Christchurch Beautiful (KCB) in conjunction with the Christchurch City Council and as part of Clean Up the World are coordinating Clean Up New Zealand Week 2007 which runs from Saturday 8 September through until Sunday 16 September.

The campaign brings together businesses, community groups, schools, local and central governments, and individuals in a range of activities and programmes that positively improve local environments.

KCB is the voluntary local programme of Keep New Zealand Beautiful. It aims to promote a cleaner, more beautiful environment within Christchurch, and to raise the level of awareness of what the individual can do to improve his or her community and reduce litter.

We would like to invite you and your group to register and take part in Clean Up New Zealand Week 2007. Whether it is picking up rubbish in parks, sports fields or city streets, making our schools litter free, cleaning out a local stream or estuary of rubbish, scrubbing off some graffiti - there are lots of ways you can help out.

attached is a registration form for you to fill out and return, should you wish to be involved in 2007. The information included in this form allows us to support your efforts by letting the media know what your activities are and, most importantly, providing you with the resources you need e.g. rubbish bags and gloves. You may have already registered with the national office of KNZB. If so, please advise us and also register with us.
