  Homework Central

Homework Central is an information portal for secondary students. It features links to information about the City of Christchurch and the Christchurch City Council. If the material provided via this site does not help you with your study or you need more information, we would suggest you start your research at the Library.

All public Christchurch City Council and Environment Canterbury reports and documents are held at the Library. Phone the Library on 941 7923 or go to LiveOnLine for immediate help with finding published information in electronic and print sources.

Remember to be well prepared, know what topic you are going to cover and what you need to find out. Plan your questions beforehand.

Helpful hints

A useful checklist to help you decide upon your topic:

  • Am I interested in what I am proposing to do?
  • Does it fit within my project brief/outline?
  • Is the information I need easily accessible?
  • Is what I propose simple and not too ambitious?
  • Am I clear in my own mind about what I aim to do?

If the answer is yes to all of these questions, then you have probably made a good choice.

Once you have researched your topic at the Library and if you still have unanswered questions you have the option of sending in your questions via email to the Christchurch City Council customer services or you can phone 941 8999.

Click on the topic headings below to go to information about your topic of choice.

The Council's householder newsletter City Scene and environmental newsletter Our City are both good sources for ideas on topics to cover.
