Christchurch has some fantastic places to take kids biking - check out the rides under the easy rides section.

 

There's no end to the excursions and adventures to be had, when heading off road in Christchurch. Like the maze of tracks at Bottle Lake Forest, the single tracks on the Port Hills, the fun forest rides at McLeans Forest, the historic Little River Railtrail and around some of the city's many parks and reserves.

The cycle routes and off road trails listed below are completely traffic free, perfect for families and those new to cycling. We've selected a few easy rides to get you started.

Scenic Rides

If you're interested in biking further a field andtaking advantage of the City's dramatic vistas; of the Canterbury Plains, Southern Alps and Banks Peninsula - Lyttelton Harbour, we have selected some must-do rides.
