Spreydon-Heathcote Community Board
The Spreydon-Heathcote Community Board represents 51,000 people, 20,500 households in an area covering the southern side of the city from Hillsborough in the east to Hillmorton in the west. The community includes the city fringe suburbs of Addington and Waltham, as well as Sydenham, Beckenham, Spreydon, St. Martins, Cashmere, Huntsbury, Somerfield, Hoon Hay and Westmorland.
The Board is supported by the Community Board Support Team which provides advice to the Board and ensures that the Board has the information it needs to assist it in making decisions. It arranges Board meetings and produces agendas for those meetings. The Team also provides information to people who want to come and speak to the Board.
The ward is further supported by a Community Engagement Team which supports the implementation of neighbourhood initiatives by working with individuals and community groups at the local level.
