Hagley/Ferrymead Community Board
The Hagley/Ferrymead Community Board represents 51,000 people, almost 22,000 households in an area covering the central city and reaching south of the Avon/Heathcote estuary to Sumner. The community includes Richmond, Linwood and Bromley, Phillipstown, Woolston, Ferrymead and the coastal Port Hills suburbs from Heathcote across to Redcliffs.
The Board is supported by the Community Board Support Team which provides advice to the Board and ensures that the Board has the information it needs to assist it in making decisions. It arranges Board meetings and produces agendas for those meetings. The Team also provides information to people who want to come and speak to the Board.
The ward is further supported by a Community Engagement Team which supports the implementation of neighbourhood initiatives by working with individuals and community groups at the local level.
