Burwood-Pegasus Community Board
The Burwood-Pegasus Community Board represents around 50,000 people, nearly 20,000 households, from Bottle Lake in the north, inland to Marshlands Road, and along the coast to South Shore. The community takes in Burwood, Parklands, Shirley, Dallington, Avondale, Aranui, Bexley and New Brighton.
The Board is supported by the Community Board Support Team which provides advice to the Board and ensures that the Board has the information it needs to assist it in making decisions. It arranges Board meetings and produces agendas for those meetings. The Team also provides information to people who want to come and speak to the Board.
The ward is further supported by a Community Engagement Team which supports the implementation of neighbourhood initiatives by working with individuals and community groups at the local level.
