Get an IRD number
Before you look for a job or start a business you must get an IRD number. This is so the government can collect tax.
We recommend that you apply for an IRD number for each family member including children.

- IRD Call Centre hours:
- Monday - Friday: 8am to 8pm,
- Saturday: 9am to 1pm
