Character Housing Maintenance Grant


Application forms and leaflets for funding during the (2007/2008) financial year will be available online the first week of July.

What is a Character Housing Maintenance Grant?

If you own a Character Home within Christchurch City, including Banks Peninsula, grant funding is available to help towards the external upgrading and maintenance of individual family homes which have a distinctive visual character and make a key contribution to the quality and identity of local streets.

Grants are available to individual house owners of character residences who are intending to undertake maintenance or repair work to upgrade the external appearance of the existing property.

How do I apply?

All applications must be on the Character Housing Maintenance Grant application form available at your local library or service centre or if you would like an application form sent to you please either contact Aimee Holland on (03) 941 8628 or email your postal detail to CHMG@ccc.govt.nz alternatively you can down load the application form by clicking on the following link.

When do applications close?

The new round of funding will commence on the 1st July 2008 application close date will be 15th September 2008 for funding in the 2008/09 financial year.
