The people of Christchurch appreciate the contribution that the screen industry makes to our city and hope that you choose to come here for your next production.

This site is designed to provide a one-stop-shop for makers of films, advertisements, television documentaries... wanting to use our fantastic locations and facilities.

Along with tips for planning and organising a successful filming event in Christchurch, it offers access to Council staff and services that will help you to gain the approvals required to film in our public spaces. Location scouts can be accessed through Canterbury's regional film office, Film South.
