Struthers Lanes
This project is a priority within the Lanes Plan and involves the installation of new paving, in two stages, between Manchester Street to the rear of the Council Offices. The first stage has been completed. New access arrangements are also being proposed which you will be consulted on shortly as part of a review of the Street Enclosures Bylaw. These may include the restriction of vehicles during the evenings and at night, to help encourage more pedestrian movement within this area.

Lichfield Lanes
This project is a priority within the proposed Lanes Plan and is to be completed over the next five years, with the first phase involving paving and asphalt changes to Poplar Street and new lighting. This work has recently been completed. Phase two is for seating and a fountain around a piazza area at the intersection of Poplar and Ash which will be paved. This will commence in March 2007.
