Central City Transport Concept Plan
The Central City Transport Concept has its origins in Stage I of the Central City Revitalisation Strategy, and was adopted by Council in 2005. The Concept involves a range of projects including:
- The conversion of Lichfield Street to two-way way traffic
- The enhancement of Central City lanes
- The improvement of pedestrian facilities
- the implementation of a coordinated streetscape design plan
- The creation of Central City gateways
- Review of Central City parking management
Given the Concept reflects an integrated approach to the Central City transit system and network, funding decisions should support these individual projects in coming to full fruition.
