Business Retention and Development

Central City business growth and prosperity is a key priority under the Central City Revitalisation Strategy. A business and retention programme is being developed to encourage businesses to locate in the Central City and to help ensure businesses that are already here remain. Specific projects under this programme include:

• A review of the development contributions policy
• A review of commercial office space distribution
• A new marketing campaign focusing on international and national business clients
• A new retail improvement programme
• Investigations into the establishment of a Central City development advocate and authority
