Garden Etiquette

The gardens are here for everyone to enjoy. Visitors are asked to please note the regulations:

  • No bicycle or scooter riding
  • No jogging
  • Don’t pick flowers or damage any plants
  • No ball games
  • No roller blading or skateboarding
  • Don’t climb on trees
  • No commercial activities or functions (unless a permit is granted)
  • Barbeques and gas burners are not permitted
  • Take your rubbish home with you and recycle
  • No dogs are permitted within the Botanic Gardens, with the exception of guide dogs. Dogs are permitted if they are under effective control within Hagley Park.

Please respect the other users of the Botanic Gardens. All visitors within the gardens are subject to and must comply with the Reserves Act. Breaches of the regulations may incur a fine or an individual may be banned from the Gardens.

Please report any vandalism or suspicious behaviour you may have witnessed to the Information Centre.
