Copper Beech

The Arts Centre, Copper Beech.

The Arts Centre has several worthy trees including a Totara and a Copper Beech, planted in the early 20th century.

The Beech dislikes winds but has thrived in the South Quad. It provides wonderful shade in summer, colour in spring and autumn and disrobes in winter to admit sunlight.

Near the clock tower is the fine example of a Totara.
