Getting around

Christchurch is a great city to travel around in. With its flat landscape it is perfect for cycling and walking for pleasure or as part of your daily commute.

Our bus network is extensive allowing you to travel around the city with ease. We host walking tours, a weekly event around suburbs where you can discover more about the place you live in. We also run programmes around road safety in schools, actively promoting walking and safe cycling to children. The Council manages parking enforcement and various parking buildings within the Central City.
