Criteria
Applications will be sorted into either metropolitan or local projects.
- Metropolitan applications up to $15,000 are delegated to the Staff Metropolitan Funding Group.
- Metropolitan applications above $15,000 go to the Metropolitan Funding Sub-Committee of the Council.
- Local applications will be assessed by staff and presented to the relevant community board for allocation.
How to apply
In 2010/11, organisations that wish to apply for a community grant will need to be registered with the Council before they submit their application form.
Organisations only need to complete one registration form for the year, no matter how many grant applcations they intend to make - and, in response to feedback, the application forms are now much shorter.
Please download the registration form [DOC 294KB] and email it to communitygrants@ccc.govt.nz.
Applications are open from 1 July each year. Once the annual allocation of funds is exhausted the fund is closed.

- An end of project accountability form must be completed:
- when funding is spent
- or by 30th June the following year
- or when another funding application is lodged and there are still outstanding funds from previous funding.
