Scope of work
This grant application included exterior and interior conservation work. On the exterior, this included the selective repair of the corrugated roof and re-painting; selective window and door repair; selective repair/re-paint exterior woodwork; and the selective replacement and re-painting of gutters.

The interior work included the reconstruction of missing dado and Kauri skirting in the hallway and the replacement of timber flooring in the main living area of the oldest portion of the house.

Outcome
The conservation work was completed in 2005. Regular and preventative maintenance that keeps the water out, extends the life-cycle of materials and reduces the need for major conservation works.

The Heritage Incentive Fund is part of the strategy to assist owners in protecting the city’s heritage for future generations.
